Pattons Medical was founded in Charlotte, North Carolina in 2008 by a group of medical gas industry veterans who believed there was a better way to design medical and laboratory gas equipment—one rooted in innovation, safety, and reliability. Their goal? To create solutions that truly work for healthcare and laboratory facilities. 

Early innovations like the Horizontal Scroll and Space Saver addressed real-world challenges, allowing facilities to replace aging equipment without costly structural changes. Pattons Medical engineers every system for streamlined installation and low-touch maintenance, delivering equipment for efficient integration and long-term operational reliability. 

In 2012, Pattons Medical was acquired by ELGi, a world-class air compressor manufacturer, providing the resources to expand product offerings, service networks, and inventory.
